Privacy, plainly

Sri Lanka Compare is an independent directory and personal side project. You compare businesses here and contact them directly; we do not take bookings or create visitor accounts.

Emailing us

Email hello@srilankacompare.com for corrections, listing changes or privacy questions. We use your email address and the contents of your message to respond. The inbox is provided by Zoho Mail. The Contact page opens your email app; it does not send a message through this website.

What this browser remembers

We use localStorage in your browser to remember your consent choices, choice date and preference version. When both optional categories are off, that record expires after six months. An accepted category stays saved until you change your choice, clear browser storage or the preference version changes. Withdrawing optional consent saves both categories as off; it does not delete the preference record.

Comparison selections are saved separately as public business identifiers, one list per topic, with no site-set expiry. Changing consent does not clear them. Change your selections in the comparison controls or clear this site's storage in your browser settings. If browser storage is unavailable, choices apply on the current page only.

No analytics or advertising tools are installed or running. Any future optional tracking must wait for your affirmative consent. You can change your choice in Cookie settings. Cookies explains the controls and storage in more detail.

Sharing a comparison

Shared comparison links include the selected business identifiers in the URL. Anyone with the link can see those selections. Opening a link sends that URL to the site's hosting service.

Business links

Business websites, map services and other external links take you to services with their own privacy practices. Messages and bookings you make with a business are handled by that business.
