Who We Are
Sri Lanka Compare puts the operators worth booking side by side — what they charge, what people say about them, and a way to reach them. Pick the trip, read the rows, message whoever you like the look of.
An independent personal side project.
Nothing is booked here. You contact the operator yourself and deal with them directly.
Where the numbers come from
Everything on a row was read somewhere and written down with the date: the operator's own site, their listings, their reviews. If we could not find a figure, the space is empty rather than filled with something that sounds about right.
Prices are in the currency the operator quotes, with the date we saw them, and whether they cover one person or a whole jeep. They change. Treat them as a starting point, not a quote.
The three words about licences
- verified — we have seen the paperwork ourselves.
- claimed — the operator says so, and we quote them saying it.
- unknown — we found nothing either way.
Who is not here
Before an operator goes on the list we look at how they run a trip: how the animals are treated, whether they keep to the rules where they work. Some do not make it on. We do not name them.
Something wrong?
If a price is out of date, a detail is wrong, or you run one of these businesses and want something changed, email us so we can check it.
Map illustrations and credits
The small maps illustrate locations; they are not verified legal boundaries. Kalpitiya and Trincomalee show town-centre proxies, not official town limits. Udawalawe shows a proposed outer shell with 19 inner rings omitted; their classification is unverified. Kumana’s saved outline is about 294 km², roughly 82% of a commonly cited 356.6 km² reference whose accuracy remains unverified; its long straight edge is unverified. Minneriya’s source is tagged approximate. The preserved Yala illustration overlaps the saved Kumana outline.
